The Position:

Based in our North Sydney office and reporting to the Team Leader for Australia and New Zealand PC Hardware (who is based in New Zealand), the Associate Analyst role will focus on the Australian and New Zealand PC Monitors and Projectors market.

Responsibilities of the Associate Analyst will include interviewing, gathering and maintaining quarterly data from vendors and writing market forecast and market revenue share reports, supporting IDC client inquiries and briefings, participating in custom consulting work, presentations and working closely with local and regional IDC analysts to drive and maintain consistent coverage.

This position will have interaction with industry contacts both locally and in New Zealand through teleconferences, on-site briefings and major industry events.

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate must posses the following:

Essential:

• Minimum 1+ years job experience in a market research firm, a market intelligence division of an IT or Telecommunications organisation or recent graduates from a recognized university with good performance records will be considered;
• Minimum university or college degree, BA, BSc or equivalent - Economics, Business, Marketing, Accounting, IT, or Statistics degrees preferred;
• Numerically inclined with a high degree of comfort with market metrics and an understanding of economic measures and concepts;
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal;
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint required;
• Citizens of Australia, Permanent Residents, or those currently authorised to work in Australia.
