Phillip runs IDC's Australian vertical market practice with a focus on corporate strategy and market intelligence. Drawing on more than ten years of experience in the IT industry across professional services, sales and marketing.

Phillip joined IDC Australia in 2002 and is based in Sydney, regularly provides his insights and expertise in a dynamic and challenging fashion at a wide variety of workshops, presentations and conferences across Australia for the end-user and vendor community alike.

Prior to being appointed to this role, Phillip was a market analyst for DMR Consulting, assessing market trends and developing solution offerings. Phillip has also spend several years at Dun & Bradstreet, with a focus on the intersection of IT and the workplace. Frequently quoted in leading business dailies and trade publications, Phillip is a regular speaker at IDC and vendor events as well as industry forums providing highly valued advice and insight into emerging industry trends, opportunities and the competitive environment. Phillip has also been a judge for the MIS Top 100 IT vendors to watch.

Phillip graduated from the University of Newcastle with Bachelor of Economics and has recently completed his Masters of eCommerce at Deakin University.

Sheryl Moon is the Managing Director of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), the peak body for the information and communications technology (ICT) industry in Australia.

AIIA is recognised both nationally and internationally as the industry's leading lobby group, representing almost 500 Australian member companies that employ 100,000 Australians and have combined exports of more than $2 billion.

Sheryl joined AIIA in November 2006. She has worked in the ICT sector for more than 25 years in senior leadership positions including Vice President of Computer Sciences Corporation, and a managing partner with Accenture. Prior to her role at AIIA, Sheryl was Director of Recruitment and Staffing Solutions, Australasia for employment services provider, Manpower Services Australia.

In 1999, Sheryl was named Australian Business Woman of the Year, and she sits on a number of Australian Government advisory boards. She has a Bachelor of Economics and a number of postgraduate qualifications, including a Masters of Management in Technology.

llrich Loeffler is a Market Analyst for Australia & New Zealand's software research. With a focus on Information Management Solutions, Ullrich's responsibilities include conducting vendor, business partner, and end-user studies and producing knowledgeable insights and analysis into dynamic and coherent information environments. This includes all components of dynamic infrastructure, information and application platforms.

In addition, Ullrich's focus is on storage, information and data management software. This involves tracking and analyzing key developments as well as identifying emerging trends in these markets across the ANZ region. Furthermore, applying that knowledge in market analysis, sizing and forecasts.

Prior to joining IDC, Ullrich worked in project management for sales and marketing for several international companies in Germany and New Zealand. He holds a masters degree in Business/Economics with majors in Industrial Economics, Industrial Management and Marketing.

After joining Sybase in 1998, Mr. Hacker first acted as the Lead Data Warehouse Architect for the Southeast United States region of Sybase Professional Services, where he oversaw the design, implementation, and delivery of several major data warehouse projects. More recently, he has taken positions as Regional Technical Manager, and now Director for the Asia Pacific territory of Sybase’s Business Intelligence division, a role in which he focuses on channel / partner development, business development, and provides support, training, and consulting expertise in the area of Data Warehousing to local offices throughout the region. He has an extensive Sybase product background, particularly with respect to Sybase IQ and other related Business Intelligence products and solutions, but also consults and presents at worldwide events on a wide range of Business Intelligence-related topics. Prior to joining Sybase, Mr. hacker managed a large-scale data warehouse / lead generation system for MCI/Worldcom in the US.

Mr. Hacker has both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Herman has 24 years extensive background in the IT and telecommunications industry, ranging from R&D, to Consulting, Solutions Architecting and Sales. In 2001 Herman Completed a Post Graduate program in Electronic Commerce with the University of South Africa School of Business leadership before moving to Australia.
