Avneesh Saxena has more than 15 years of regional experience in the IT industry.

Based in IDC's Asia/Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong, he heads IDC's Asia/Pacific Systems, Storage & Software Research group. In this role, he drives research and analysis that focuses on tracking emerging technology trends, vendor strategies, market size, distribution channels and end-user segmentation in the Asia/Pacific Personal Systems, Servers, Storage and Software markets. He is also charged with driving greater collaboration across the various teams to bring out more holistic views of the market.

Avneesh has successfully led many research projects and mentored many people in his team in the past 13 years with IDC. His extensive regional experience, combined with the ability to successfully work across domains, makes him the ideal candidate to work with the diversified team.

Prior to joining IDC Asia/Pacific, Avneesh was with IDC India where he was responsible for tracking and analyzing hardware & software supply-side research for the Indian market. Before IDC India, he was selling Canon reprographic products.

Fluent in Hindi and English, Avneesh is a frequent speaker at industry events and his views on the Asia/Pacific market have been quoted in most leading publications such as the Business Times, Asia Computer Weekly, Computer World, the South China Morning Post, the Hong Kong Economic Journal, Computer Times, CNBC, and Bloomberg.

Avneesh received his Bachelor in Commerce from Delhi University and Masters in Business Administration from Gwalior, India.

Tim Dillon joined IDC Australia in March 2007. He is responsible for managing and coordinating the company’s Australian research teams and operations. As part of his role Tim focuses on working with Senior IT executives from Australia’s leading IT&T organisations across consulting projects, research and analysis areas such as; Telecoms, Software and Services. In addition, he will play a pivotal role in product enhancement for both Australia and AP research programs. Tim has 15 years of professional experience, out of which 14 years were dedicated to research. Having lived and worked both in Europe and Asia Pacific, Tim’s global perspective will certainly provide a broader view of technology trends as it impacts Australia.

Before taking up his role with IDC Australia, Tim spent over seven years with Current Analysis Inc where he held the position of Senior Research Director - Global Telecoms, based in a number of cities including; London, Amsterdam and Brisbane.

During his time with Current Analysis Tim was responsible for defining, developing and leading the company’s Pan-European Analysis coverage. He consulted to a number of leading global telecommunications service providers including Verizon Business, AT&T, BT, Cable & Wireless and Orange Business Services. In 2006 Tim was asked by the company to establish Analysis coverage in Asia, focusing on key markets including China and India. Tim has worked with Tier One and Two service providers, developing a clear understanding of the competitive issues facing service providers, vendors & enterprise customers across the region. Prior to joining Current Analysis Tim held the role of Research Manager at one of Europe’s leading competitive intelligence consulting groups. In this role, Tim was responsible for research and analysis of the IT and telecommunications industries as well as coordinating the group’s overall research and analysis. Graduated from the unversity of Tasmania in 1991 with a Bachelor of Economics.

With 30 years industry experience Paul has been involved in many dynamic changes of voice and data networks and the evolution of the Internet and its impact on everything we do.

His history saw him spend 10 years at Alcatel working with voice and data communications systems in the 80’s, 10 years at Cisco from 1993 through the IP and Internet revolution years and 3 years heading the Service Provider business for EMC Computer Systems rounding off his knowledge of IT and Network convergence.

Andrew’s responsibilities include consulting, pre-sales, architecture and design and supporting the delivery of these technologies to Alphawest and Optus Business customers.
